A note from the owner:

As a child care provider, god-mother and friend, I know how important it is to find the perfect gift. I developed this original spin on traditional diaper cakes to give parents and friends an alternative to gift baskets. The cakes, were the beginning and the donuts and cupcakes just fell right into place. All of my products are made from brand new materials and each item is specially made for the buyer. I look forward to sharing these adorable creations with moms and babies-to-be everywhere.

Where the items are made:

The items used to make the products by Gift the Bambino! are purchased new from retail stores. We create your gifts, centerpieces and novelty items in a smoke-free home in a pet-free space.

Our studio is in Greensboro, NC and items are available for pick-up or delivery in Greensboro. We will ship anywhere in the country, or internationally.

I see diaper cakes all of the time, what makes Gift the Bambino different?

Gift the Bambino products are unique and each item is custom made. Try as we might, we can't find any other retailer selling products with the same type of style we use. Each of our designs is created by an artist, so you're not only getting a useful gift for baby, you're also getting a gift that was carefully designed, not quickly thrown together or made by a large corporation. Each item is special to us and treated as such.

Is your online ordering secure?

Yes, our online ordering is done completely by PayPal which offers a well-trusted, secure payment experience.

What is your average shipping time?

After your order is received your cake, cupcakes, or donuts are made within 3 days. They will be shipped within 3-5 days via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail or your selected shipping method. If your order is over $40, we will provide you with a tracking number via email.

Are all of the items in usable condition?

Yes, every item sold with your purchase is intended for use. Your gift comes with a special note that encourages new parents to wash linens before using for the baby. The diapers are also able to be used and we put the items together with minimal packaging to shorten the time it takes to get all of the goodies out.

What size & brand diapers are used?

We use size 1 or size 2 name brand diapers. For different sizes please email us. If you need to specify size 2 because baby is a little older please email info@giftthebambino.com immediately after making your order. Prices may increase slightly for larger sized (3+) diapers. Right now, we have Pampers and Luvs in stock.

What size clothes are in the cakes?

We use sizes from 0-3 up to 12 months in our cakes. Not limiting the size helps keep our prices down and the savings is passed to you. If you are hoping to purchase a cake for an older baby, you will need to email us for special purchase information. We can only gaurantee clothes big enough to fit the baby you are ordering for if you email us. However, there is no need to email if baby is a newborn, all clothes are 0-3 or larger and they're not getting any smaller!

We do not usually specify which of the two primary sizes are in each cake. If you need the larger size please email us at info@giftthebambino.com.

Your site says "Styles may vary" how do I know exactly what items are going into my cake, donuts or other purchase?

You can email us at info@giftthebambino.com and we will send you a picture of the exact items going into your order. That way, you know exactly what's included in your gift.

Can I specify diaper brand?

Yes, you can email us for special pricing for choosing your own diaper brand.

What if the product does not meet my expectations?

We know you'll love our line of gifts but if you don't, you can return any unused, undamaged product at any time. We will refund the cost of the product or provide you with store credit or a replacement item with your detailed description of what issue you have with the item. If the product was damaged during shipping please email us immediately so that we can make the appropriate replacement. Your satisfaction is extremely important to us.

All of our products can be created using Seventh Generation, chlorine-free diapers and/or organic cotton clothing and washcloths.

How big are the cakes?

Cakes vary in size, but count on about 4 - 5 inches tall per tier. A typical two-tier cake is around 10 inches tall. There are lots of goodies packed into those inches!

The circumference of the cakes also varies. The bottom tier of a two-tier cake is about 8 inches round. The bottom tier of a four-tier cake is over a foot wide.

Why do I care that your cakes are minimally packaged?

Most diaper cakes have more strictly decorative items than they do useful products. We've taken a different approach: utilizing a custom style of diaper cake building and recognizing the importance of being able to see the products amidst the bows and ribbons. Our unique contemporary style helps accomplish this task and this accomplishment means:

The new parents can spend more time with baby and less time struggling to detach components of our cakes. Each cake is made especially so that all Mom & Dad have to do is slip off a few ribbons and all the goodies are ready for enjoyment!

(As with all baby clothing, we recommend washing before wearing).
